The Smart Shield Sediment Filter System is recommended for areas with heavy sediment or piping. This kit comes complete with everything you will need for installation. This sediment filter will help protect your new Epic Smart Shield filter system from the damaging effects of sediment (dirt, rust and debris) build up. The sediment in city or well water can clog solid carbon block filter quick and even change the taste of your drinking water. The Smart Shield Sediment filter removes particles as small as 5 microns in size (Comparison: Dust Mites are between 100 to 300 microns) leaving your solid carbon Smart Shield free to remove the bad stuff like chemicals, heavy metals, industrial pollutants, trace pharmaceuticals, human sex hormones, and microbial cysts. The Smart Shield is certified to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, & 401. Now with a sediment filter, your Smart Shield is really ready for tough work.

  • Lengthens life of filter system
  • 5 micron spun polypropylene, high holding depth sediment water filter

Great customer support

The sediment filter did its job for a year and I bought a replacement filter. I could not figure out how to remove the input and output tubing from the old filter and could not find any answers or videos on the support website. I emailed customer service and they provided the needed instructions and replacement was easily done. Well done.

Trusted

Good piece of mind knowing that the multiple water shut offs we have in our condo complex filter out all the sediment before the water reaches our Epic SmartShield Filter.

Best decision for getting drinking water from a dedicated kitchen faucet

After the 2nd kitchen flood due to a failed aquasana under counter filter system in 4 years it was time to find a replacement. The ease of installation and the product design gave me confidence that we would have a better chance with the epic system. Everything worked out so far to our satisfaction and with great surprise we found the water pressure to be significantly higher without compromising the water taste even though the epic system uses only a single level filtering system.
